Blonde Wig Boy

by Tom Woodward

/

about

The lyrics are about weird nostalgia and the necessity of relinquishing the past in order to endure the present. I wrote the first draft in Los Angeles in 2015 and both Yen and I put it through a wringer for three years in Melbourne until now, whereby I press the eject button from the iillusory dry warmth of a Hobart cafe, while the worst music you've ever heard plays over the house PA. Damn, modern music sucks.

lyrics

Can you feel the heat?
Or is it just me?
Out from the slum
Blonde wig boy come
Thunder and rain
Thunder and rain
Thunder and rain
Did he try to disarm you?
Did he try to embalm you?
Is he insane?
Totally insane?
Is he insane?
Or just crazy?

Can you see the rain?
Electro-luminescent?
It lights up your brain
Blonde wig boy stay
He's at it again
He's out of his brain
He's at it again
Did he try to disarm you?
Did he try to embalm you?
Is he insane?
Totally insane?
Is he insane?
Or just crazy?

The frost is in your heart
The frost is in your heart
This time

The frost is in your heart
The frost is in your heart
This time

Is he asleep?
Or did you kill him?
What did you do?
Blonde wig boy's blue
